MIRACLE ON MAIN ST.

We just had the best Christmas party ever!!! The PADS shelter was rockin! And normally I wouldn't use names to protect the innoncent, but this time I just have to - there were too many cool things that happened. So, here we go (oh yeah, don't forget to check out the pictures too):
1) Greg and Susan brought in some awesome decorations for the table...and, as always, did whatever was needed to make the shelter go on. Greg showed up again in the morning!
2) Tina and Samantha rocked the place with their keyboard.
3) Heather brought the music (actually made copies for everyone) and amazed us with her beautiful voice. And then she came back for more in the mornin'
4) Phil's daughters Tacia and crud, I forgot her name were rockin the guitar in our band with their buddy! Phil, besides being a great dad, got all the kids involved!
5) Grace, Sofia and Morgan are the greatest singers ever! And you won't find anyone better at jumping on the mats!
6) Mary Rose tried to play with pain!
7) Cathi made some of the best gingerbread cookies ever.
8) Mary organized a group of kids and adults to make an awesome turkey dinner with punch!
9) Rich remembered to bring the movie and really was on his A game with our homeless buddies. He's like the Dean Martin of PADS. Guess what, he came back too.
10) Paul did his normal bang up job on the laundry and made some big career decisions.
11) Brad drove in from Chicago (2 1/2 hours) and made it on time to the shelter.
12) Bill didn't even sleep and came to the midnight shift. Then he gave the shirt off his back.....and the pants of his legs to one of our buddies. Don't worry, he wasn't naked - the guy just needed long johns.
13) Tony is just one handsome man!
14) Gi Gi wore that darn Packer sweatshirt again, but was willing to lock everything up.
15) Dave took time out of his PADS work to autograph books for his biggest fans....and he really is dedicated to building relationships at the site.
16) Judy cleaned up like no other, and every time I talk to her she says something that impresses me.
17) Nick showed up...even though I didn't remind him.
18) Sydney (a junior high student) showed up at 5:30. Now don't you guys who hate getting up early feel bad!
19) Andrea, her mom, subbed for an ailing Deanna, and made some awesome pancakes!
20) Jill came in at 4:30 so we could be legal!
21) We ended up with 15 letters for our buddies - that's 15 people who hopefully were touched!
22) And the best part of all....Lauren, Jennifer, Larry and Nicole came for the first time ever. They seem just crazy enough to fit in with our goofy group! Nicole was even able to drive the pillow cart and Lauren used a big word!
